RIVERSIDE, California ? A toddler was badly burned on her lower body Thursday morning after coming into contact with a smoldering fire pit at Rancho Jurupa Park at 4800 Crestmore Road, according to a CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department press release.
The incident took place about 11:46 a.m. Paramedics transported the girl by ground ambulance to a Regional Burn Center for treatment of minor to moderate burns on her lower extremity, according to the report.
